CLEVELAND, OHIO WEDDING itinerary
A large percentage of their guests were coming from out of town. Therefore, creating an itinerary for them was crucial to ensuring that everything ran smoothly and they knew what to expect. It was filled with essential times for the weekend, from the Friday evening welcome party to the Sunday farewell brunch. Since the ceremony was roughly 30 minutes away, they offered transportation for their guests. The agenda also updated guests with information on the transportation to the ceremony.
Knowing that many guests were traveling from out of town and may not be familiar with the area, Michelle and Drew added a list of fun things to do in the Cleveland area for those planning to make a whole weekend out of it.
As guests checked into their hotel room, an out-of-town bag welcomed them. Along with the itinerary, Michelle and Drew included some fun and personalized touches: barbeque sauce from Alabama (Drew’s home state), chocolate (their favorite snack), and a customed-designed frisbee (a sport that they both enjoyed). A small but thoughtful gesture that can make your guests feel appreciated and welcome. The itinerary and welcome bag greatly impacted their guests’ experience. By doing so, they created a memorable and enjoyable wedding weekend for everyone involved.

GREEK ORTHODOX WEDDING CEREMONY PROGRAM
Even the ceremony program provided guests with detailed information. Michelle & Drew realized that many of their guests had not attended a traditional Greek Orthodox wedding before. A beautiful and traditional ceremony that has been celebrated for centuries. The ceremony program was an essential element that helped their guests understand and appreciate the rich symbolism and significance of the ceremony.
A brief introduction welcomed their guests and explained the two parts of a Greek Orthodox Wedding Ceremony. The Service of Betrothal is the first part of the Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony. This service includes the exchange of rings. The program briefly explains the symbolism and how they represent the couple’s commitment to each other and their faith. The exchange of rings symbolizes the unbreakable bond of marriage.

The Service of the Crowning’s symbolism, the second part of the service, is also described. This service includes the blessing of the crowns, or Stefana, to symbolize Michelle and Drew’s unity and eternity, acknowledging their oath to preserve their marriage bond forever.
The ceremony program also describes Michelle’s brother’s role, who served as the Koumbaro, as he stood witness on behalf of the Orthodox Church during the exchange of rings and crowns.

The decor for Michelle and Drew’s indoor wedding used natural elements such as tree branches and twigs to create an organic ambiance. Their centerpieces incorporated bare tree branches. Purple and grey linens made a cohesive look and tied in their color palette with fall outdoor imagery of tree branches.
