FORSYTH PARK FOUNTAIN WEDDING ENGAGEMENT

While visiting the historic district of Savannah, Georgia, the Forsyth Park Fountain is a must-see. This well-known icon is often the site of proposals, engagement photoshoots, and weddings.

When Ryan dropped to one knee on their visit, it took Janelle by surprise. Luckily, Ryan was sly enough to ask a stranger to take a few pictures to capture the moment. Since family is a big focal point in their relationship, they naturally wished to share the engagement proposal with them. Queue in the save-the-dates! Photos from the special moment were included in their interactive save-the-date to allow family and friends to experience the moment’s anticipation as if they were there in person.

Save-the-date, with picture-book candid engagement photos.

Instead of just incorporating the photos in a collage orientation on the save-the-dates, we wanted to heighten the suspense for their guests when opening the save-the-dates. A small 2.75×2.75 inch envelope held the candid engagement photos adhered to the save-the-date. The “Actual Moment” unfolds in a picture-book fashion.

The fountain graphic and the navy, steel blue, cranberry, and rose-gold color palette became their wedding icon that we used throughout their paper goods. The design allowed to have one cohesive look and feel. From save-the-dates to invitations to day-of elements having that one look and feel allows for a more sophisticated atmosphere for guests.

Consequently, this design was special to me, as it earned itself an ADDY® award.
